My Story and Why I Help Midlife Women Through Perimenopause So They Can Feel Like Themselves Again
Hi, I’m Lindsey
A Nutritional Therapist, Nurse, and Personal Trainer, and everything I do now is rooted in my own health journey.
I know what it’s like to be dismissed.
I know what it’s like to feel like a stranger in your own body.
And I know what it takes to get back to feeling like you again.
How It Started
I started my career in healthcare as a nurse. Years later, I went through a difficult period in my life, including PTSD and two devastating family losses. Exercise became my anchor, and I eventually became the fittest and strongest I’d ever been as I approached 40. That led me to qualify as a Personal Trainer.
But then came perimenopause, and everything changed.
Despite doing everything “right,” I started to unravel.
The weight crept on
My mood plummeted
I felt constantly anxious, foggy, irritable, and overwhelmed
My body stopped responding to exercise
I was exhausted, tearful, and felt like I was losing myself
And yet… my GP told me everything was fine. My blood tests were “normal.” I was just “depressed.”
The Turning Point:
At my lowest point, for the sake of myself and my family, I knew I couldn’t keep going like this. I needed answers. Real ones.
I found a Nutritional Therapist (I didn’t even really know what they did at the time), and it was the best decision I could have made.
They looked deeper.
They repeated my bloods.
They found what others had missed, including an undiagnosed thyroid condition.
They helped me support my body properly with food, lifestyle changes, and a tailored plan.
And piece by piece… I came back to myself.
Why I Do This Work:
That experience changed everything for me so much that I retrained as a Nutritional Therapist.
Now, I help women just like you who feel dismissed, overlooked, and like their bodies are betraying them. I know this phase of life can feel scary and isolating.
But I want you to know: there is support. There are answers. You are not going mad.
And you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
My Approach Today:
I combine all of my training in clinical nursing, nutritional therapy, and personal training to take a whole-body, root-cause approach to midlife health.
It’s not about quick fixes or calorie-counting.
It’s about understanding what’s really going on and giving your body what it actually needs.
Whether it’s hormone imbalance, hidden stress, thyroid dysfunction or burnout, we’ll get to the
bottom of it. And we’ll get you feeling like you again.
